Runs on the customer’s PC at the vehicle

A lean, free app on the customer’s laptop, plugged into the car via the ENET cable, that does one thing: detect the vehicle and securely relay the diagnostic connection over VPN.

Runs with you, the coder

The control centre: pick vehicles, start a session, read status, chat with the customer, and code with E-Sys/ISTA/Tool32.

Why separate them? The customer only gets the harmless, free client, a pure relay with no coding capability. All the power sits in the operator, which only you run with a valid license. That keeps the customer side foolproof and your tooling protected.
How it works

How to connect remotely

Remote ENET works over any VPN, the only requirement is that you and the customer’s laptop share one virtual network. Both sides install the same free VPN, join a single network, and you’re connected. No router changes, no port forwarding.

Both join one VPN network

You and the customer install the same VPN and join a single network, with Radmin a network name + password, with ZeroTier a Network ID that you authorize.

Customer starts the client

The customer plugs the ENET cable from their laptop into the car and starts the Client. It shows the laptop’s VPN IP.

Operator connects & codes

In the Operator, pick the vehicle (or add the client’s VPN IP manually), start the session and code with E-Sys, ISTA or Tool32.

The essentials for a safe remote session, plus everything else you would expect.

Auto-detection

VIN, model, type code, build date and I-level (factory & current) are read automatically.

ENET & ICOM

Connect through the ENET cable or a BMW ICOM. The client auto-detects the interface (ENET, then ICOM via SLP on port 50160), or you fix one to skip the scan.

Live vehicle status

Battery voltage, mileage and diagnostic mode with real PWF state, read from the car, not guessed.

Multi-session

Detect and operate several vehicles at once, each with its own status, log and chat.

VPN-agnostic

Runs over any existing IP connection, Radmin, WireGuard, Tailscale, ZeroTier. No specific provider required.

Chat with file transfer

Messages with timestamps and read ticks, image & file attachments and paste-screenshot via Ctrl+V, no phone call needed.

Log, verbose & dump

Dedicated log window with a live verbose filter. Coding stays fully logged; only real firmware flashes are summarised, and an on-demand data-transfer dump captures the raw UDS traffic (hex) for reverse engineering.

Self-updating

The Windows and macOS clients update themselves, no manual download. An optional Beta channel per role delivers early builds.

Connection test & safe-flash indicator

Before you flash, run the built-in connection test between operator and client. It measures link stability and gives a clear verdict, safe, marginal or unsafe, backed by live frames ↑/↓ and a drop counter. A stable link means flashing is safe; on a shaky link the tool warns you up front, because a dropout mid-flash can brick the control unit.

Coding stays fully logged; only real firmware flashes (≥256 KB) get summarised. The data-transfer dump writes a complete UDS capture, saved via Save log.

The operator keeps a live latency and voltage history for every session. At a glance you see whether the link is steady enough to flash, spot outliers before they matter, and catch a sagging battery voltage early.
